Rise from the ashes

If at first you don't succeed, try, wait about four years, and try again. That's what the old adage says, right? No? Well, nuts to that, I say. It's not a 16K compliant phrase, anyway.

Welcome to Bathurst88, a new attempt to bring you, the person "lucky" enough - and I use that term lightly, folks - to be reading this blog, a look into my (sometimes warped) view of the world. Truth is, I've had this blog for years, but it kind of fell by the wayside because of work, life, and other things. However, a friend convinced me to get back into the game, so I'm giving this another shot.

Lots of things have changed since the last time I posted something here. Most notably, I moved to Toronto for a job. Then I got another job. Now I'm working as a freelance content consultant through my self-run business venture, MarkWorks Content Solutions. Shameless plug, I know, but I just wanted to get the word out. If you're discontent with your content or agonizing over your essay, I can help you with that and much more.

So what's new on this blog? Well, if you were one of the four or so people who read this blog before, not too much. There's a new name and URL, for one. The new name comes from the York Region Transit bus route I frequently ride, the 88 Bathurst. But content-wise, it's the same random musings and stuff as before, delivered with just the right amount of wit and sarcasm in glorious 16K. Because, let's face it, 4K and 8K just don't get the job done, especially with an imagination as vivid as mine.

Updates will occurs about once a week or so, or whenever something new pops into my head, which happens often. I get ideas in the most random of places, and at my advanced age - okay, I'm not really that old - it's probably good to write things down because when your mind is like a cluttered desk, you sometimes lose track of things.

Well, that's it from me. Thanks for reading, and get ready for what I hope will be a fun ride. Welcome to the new Bathurst88.
