First of all, thanks to everyone for your comments on the essay that way my first post. I really appreciate it.
Anyway, let's get back to CSI: phreak615 now. It turns out that I'm not the only one doing some sleuthing work around here. Turns out there's another Montreal-based sleuth out there who has some wicked photo evidence. He calls himself Caesar Cipher, and he too has a blog on Blogger. It can be seen here: http://caesar-cipher.blogspot.com/. Mr. Cipher claims to be a vigilante Web hunter, and he claims to have some vital info on who phreak615 actually is. However, for some strange reason, his blog uses the same black background as Mr. 615's does. That's probably just a coincidence, though. Caesar Cipher, if you have any information to share with us, feel free to post it here. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, which is understandable, then I invite you to e-mail me. My e-mail address can be seen in my profile. Speaking of, I wonder if the phreakster himself has seen my blog yet. Unlike him, I have a direct link to my e-mail address on it, so it suprises me why I haven't seen any strange or suspicious e-mails from him or anyone else yet.
And if anyone is interested, I found another clue in the phreak615-produced videos today. In the bottom left-hand corner of each of his own videos, there is a clock. That clock is set to 6:15. I wonder, could this be the exact time when he'll be launching whatever it is he's trying to promote? Well, given that most shows on television start on the hour or half-hour (:00 and :30), it sounds a bit odd. Usually, TV shows on most channels don't start at :15 and :45 past the hour here in Canada, although you do some shows that start at those times in Europe.
Last night, someone else came up with a rather nifty allegation. It was probably the best one I'd heard since someone on Dabbler.ca thought that I was phreak615, or that I worked for MuchMusic. This person, Cassius, was taking a shot in the dark that really seemed like an educated guess, much like I've been doing. He came to the conclusion that phreak615 could actually be Much VJ Devon Soltendieck. Now, I haven't been watching Much regularly for a long time now, but what I can tell you is that Devon has been strangely absent from the station for quite some time now. I haven't seen him hosting something in ages. However, I do believe his bio is still posted at www.muchmusic.com. Plus, phreak615 says that he works for Much, and so does Devon. But here's another thing that's strange - Devon is originally from Dorval, which is a suburb of Montreal, where I'm from. How do I know this? Simple. When he won the VJ search a few years ago, The Gazette, Montreal's major English newspaper, ran an article about him. This could have something to do with the Influence U challenge that he issued me yesterday, since both that store and myself are in Montreal. Hmmm. I wonder if there's any connection between phreak615, the photos, and Devon Soltendieck. What do you think? Stay tuned for more.
Hey I think I might have another hint to it leading to Devon Soltendieck. Just look at a picture of Devon Soltendieck and compaire the differences in Phreak615's chin and his. They are nearly the same. I'm talking about the dimple in his chin btw.

ReplyDeletethinking is Devon Soltendieck is laughable. i highly doubt a VJ would have the brains to do this, or even have the access for it.
ReplyDeletei also think the whole thing about this being viral marketing for a new show is VERY farfetched. when the first couple hacks were seen, it was possible to think it might be advertisement. but after seeing what he did yesterday just for you, i think its safe to say he isnt a marketing plan.
also, its been a full day since he set the score with you, and you have retaliated. are you just going to sit back and let him win?
I say lets wait and see. theirs no point in jumping to conclusions. Much knows about theis. so really it's our choice to play this game with much. Is their a chance it's Devon Soltendieck sure. Think logicly people if Much is doing this Who else would they use?. anyways I'm just waiting to see what level of polybius they throw at us this time. And matsuto77 messing with the video of him will be vary interesting to see what they do about it :P. Oh btw keep watching the shows before or after MOD they have been showing Phreak615 more then once. Yesterday three times.

ReplyDeleteDarkness, based on what you just posted on phreak615's latest post, I'm willing to bet money that this was en elaborate hoax designed to build hype about whatever Devon's alter ego is.

ReplyDeleteWe are all being completely manipulated, can't you see that? Whoever Phreak615 is he has a whole marketing team behind him, probably a room of suits trying to figure out how to appeal to the nonconformist youth, and they have succeeded! I bet viewership for MM is WAY up. And why are there so many posts in relation to this "deleted by author" who is deleting what? The "Devon has an alter ego" thing is playing into this as well, and while it's cool because the TV suits are listening to us the little people watching at home we are definitely being led by the nose. Another giveaway that MM is totally in on the scam is when phreak posts his "hacks" he posts quite a good chunk of the show before & after the "hack" great mini ad for them right there.

Darnkness, allow me to finish this thing off once and for all.
ReplyDeleteSoltendieck has spent the last week or so creating and perfecting an alter ego called The Phreak or The Puppetmaster or something like that to compete with Tim Deegan's alter ego, The Deeganator. Thus, he set this whole thing up to get us all worked up about it. Chances are, said alter ego might be revealed at 6:15 PM sometime in the near future. I think that just about sums it up. You can all breathe easier now, because I think I have just exposed the secret. And now, I must leave you temporarily, but I'll say this - it's been a fun ride, and I thank you all for your support. ReplyDeleteMatsuto77, I wanted to tell you first. Me and my friend think we have figured out Phreak615's identity. In one of his post's he said "I am the wolf 24 10." and he has also stated he was the guitarist for a band called The Nunnery. First I searched 'Dec. 24 Wolf' up came pages of a band called Wolf Parade. The guitarist, Dan Boeckner, has the same chin and face shape as Phreak615. Although I have found no link between The Nunnery and Wolf Parade, I believe it is possible.

ReplyDeleteAs I posted on phreak615's blog, Devon does in fact have a brother. Your post states that Devon is from Montreal, which I didn't know before, and therefore it's highly likely his brother still lives in Montreal, though I originally assumed Devon's brother is a current employee of MuchMusic. If Devon's brother still lives near Montreal, it would be possible for him to send you to that store with the mask in the window. In that case, Devon would then have to be working with his brother to pull off their hack, if it is in fact Devon.
ReplyDeleteAlternatively, Devon could have another sibling, close friend, or contact who lives in Montreal and may have mentioned the mask to him ("Oh, you know that hacker on your tv station? There's a mask like his at ...").
I thought I'd also mention that, to the best of my recollection, phreak615's voice does sound somewhat like Devon's brother's.
how would you know his voice sounds like Devons brothers'. its always in that annoying high-pitched voice.
